Project-based learning provides an excellent structure of authentic learning using digital resources. Digital work allows for digital portfolio creation, communication of learning results to a wide audience, and often simple revision of learner work to reflect feedback and assessment results.

Georgia educator Kati Searcy gave the following presentation at the Social Learning Summit 2012 to demonstrate how free web tools can be used to assess understanding of content from History/Social Studies–and even helpfully included a rubric!
